The Julie Hall Scholarship Fund RNFOO Fundraising Event, September 28th 2006

In May of each year, RNFOO hosts its signature fundraising event, 'The Gala'. This event was a huge success again this year! Recently the board decided to expand its fund-raising efforts in supporting nursing scholarships by engaging in a diversity of fund raising activities, starting with a fall event. This year, the focus will be on the “Julie Hall” Scholarship with particular emphasis on neurosciences nursing. Successful applicants for a “Julie Hall” Scholarship will have the opportunity for financial support to further their education in this specialty field.

The late Julie Hall

The event will bring together individuals and organizations who continue to demonstrate excellence in care and commitment to neuroscience nursing. By invitation only, friends and family of the late Julie Hall, RN, along with members of the neurosciences community will gather for a special evening reception. The event will be a tribute to Julie Hall and her contributions to neurosciences nursing, a broad specialty that represents a diversity of clinical conditions, ages, and care settings. Specifically, this scholarship has the potential to support a wide range of sub-specialties ranging from acute brain injuries to diseases such as Alzheimer and Parkinson’s, both across the life span and the continuum of care.

The event will be private, by invitation only, and limited to 150 guests. A request for a donation will be included with the invitation. RBC Financial Group, through the auspices Charlie Coffey, O.C.,  Executive Vice President, is generously hosting the event.

Our objectives for this event are very specific to both the scholarship and to the RNFOO:
• Increase awareness of RNFOO
• Increase funds in the “Julie Hall Scholarship Fund”
• Increase awareness of neuroscience nursing across the continuum of care
• Provide opportunities for nurses and supporters of nursing to network.

Don't get left out! Meet friends and family of the late Julie Hall, RN, along with members of the neurosciences community. Please act now, we can only accommodate 150 guests and the event will be closed. Make your donation here or include a cheque in the postage paid reply envelope which will accompany your invitation; please give generously.
