Katelyn Sushko

Katelyn Sushko is an MSc thesis-stream student at McMaster University. Her research focuses on exploring the determinants of glycemic control during pregnancy among women with pregestational diabetes.

Katelyn completed her BScN at McMaster University in 2016 and has since worked as a registered nurse in the Neonatal ICU. During her time as an undergraduate, Katelyn received the Canadian Institute of Health Research Professional Student Award. This allowed the opportunity to work with School of Nursing faculty on a systematic review regarding the impact of education interventions on diabetes outcomes and sparked her interest in health research.
