Nursing Innovation Grant Project Proposal

The title of your project should clearly explain the goal of your innovation. Preferred length 3 to 5 words; maximum 10 words.
Describe your project’s target audience, and how your innovation will help them. Maximum 100 words.
Describe your project’s uniqueness in 150 words or less.
Describe the problem your innovation addresses, including relevant background. Maximum 150 words.
Identify the area of nursing your innovation will affect, and explain the contribution it will make. Maximum 150 words

            Applications completed by the deadline will be reviewed. All applicants will be notified when recipients have been selected.
            This award is available to a nurse enrolled in CNA certification in hospice palliative care (Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Nursing Certification CHPCN) or in a course recognized as preparation for certification, to further their commitment to the care of persons and their families facing a diagnosis that would benefit from a palliative care approach. Preference will be given to those who are members of the PCNIG.

                                  The Special Projects in Diabetes – DNIG Award is for a Registered Nurse who wishes to complete a special project focusing on diabetes. Applicants for this award must be current members of the RNAO Diabetes Nursing Interest Group.

                                          The WeRPN Award is available to a Registered Practical Nurse pursuing ongoing education (continuing education or RPN to RN program) that will enhance patient care and patient outcomes. Applicants must demonstrate a patient-centred approach to care.

                                                  Support for attending a conference covers events taking place within the 2025 calendar year. If the event took place between January and June 2nd, proof of attendance should be uploaded now. If the conference is to take place between June 3rd and December 31, proof of attendance must be submitted to info@rnfoo.org within 30 days of the end of the conference. Funds will not be released until proof of attendance has been provided.

                                                    Eligible expenses include conference registration, accommodation, and travel (least expensive travel option). Expenses must be collected into one document and uploaded here. If conference expenses have already been paid, receipts should be uploaded now.
