RNFOO Welcomes Kaela McDowell and Wandering Coast Philanthropy 

The Registered Nurses’ Foundation of Ontario (RNFOO) is pleased to welcome Kaela McDowell and Wandering Coast Philanthropy (WCP) to the RNFOO community. Wandering Coast Philanthropy will provide administrative, operational, fundraising and communications support to RNFOO, working closely with the Board of Directors to advance the Foundation’s mission and support its continued growth. 

Kaela McDowell is a fundraising and nonprofit professional with more than a decade of experience working with charitable organizations across Canada. Her background spans fundraising strategy, major gifts, corporate and foundation partnerships, donor engagement, nonprofit operations and organizational development. 

Throughout her career, Kaela has worked with organizations including BC Parks Foundation, Fraser Academy, United Way British Columbia, and the University of British Columbia. She has helped secure significant philanthropic investments, develop fundraising programs and partnerships, and strengthen the systems and strategies that enable charitable organizations to grow their impact. 

Kaela founded Wandering Coast Philanthropy (WCP), a Canadian consulting firm that provides fractional leadership and operational support to nonprofit and charitable organizations. WCP specializes in fundraising strategy, nonprofit operations, governance and board support, and communications and donor engagement.
