When the Prenatal & Parent Education Services closed in 1992, its Board decided that the remaining assets would be used to establish scholarship and research awards in perinatology, and requested that RNFOO administer the funds.

The Prenatal & Parenthood Education Services Award provides an opportunity to a Registered Nurses who wishes to pursue education at the masters level related to the practice of nursing in perinatology in a clinical, administrative or education setting. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in perinatology and/or enrolled in a program related to perinatology.
