Nursing Innovation Grant funding will support the evaluation and dissemination of a recently implemented Nurse Orientation Mentorship Program in long-term care (LTC).  This program is a novel approach for LTC organizations to support RNs and RPNs transitioning into new roles.  Newly hired RNs/RPNs (mentees) are paired for six weeks with experienced RNs/RPNs (mentors) who will support their learning, development and integration into the Perley Health community by sharing knowledge, skills, and best practices.  The program evaluation is supported by the Perley Health Centre of Excellence in Frailty-Informed Careā„¢.

The Mentorship in LTC project was submitted by Daniela Acosta, Temi Adegbunrin and Rachel Gibson.
