Charity of Choice

Every year Nursing Week is celebrated during the second week of May – to coincide with the birthday of Florence Nightingale born on May 12.

Theatre Burlington has scheduled a great story about 3 nurses in World War 1 just ahead of nursing week and, what is even better for RNFOO, we have been chosen as their charity of choice.

Your much needed donations will be put towards scholarships to support nursing students and nurses pursuing further education. Each year we have to turn away many deserving students due to lack of funding. Help us make the difference.

ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE:

At the height of the Great War, three nurses cross the ocean to care for injured Canadian soldiers. Despite the circumstances, the trio manages to stay hopeful, and in the process find friendship and independence. This award-winning drama examines the role of women, in a world where men, once again, are trying to destroy it.
