Corsita Garraway A racialized Black immigrant in Ontario Corsita Garraway decided to enter the healthcare arena as an aid where she could make a difference.

Corsita worked diligently furthering her education evidenced by her current pursuit of a Doctor of Nursing Practice at D’Youville University in Buffalo putting her in a position to inform, create & implement healthcare policies. As President of the Toronto Chapter of Oncology Nurses and Director-at-Large Membership Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology Board of Directors Corsita was instrumental in informing national advanced practice nursing roles and healthcare delivery. Authored articles in healthcare journals and chapters in the Manual for Radiation Oncology Nursing Practice and Education 4th Ed. Co-Chair RNAO Black Nurse Task Force and a founding member of the RNAO Black Nurses Leading Change Interest Group Corsita is dedicated to addressing Black systemic racism in healthcare while ensuring that rights and entitlements of patients are culturally reflective, equitable and holistic
