Damara Nickerson is a fourth-year RPN to BScN student at Ryerson University with more than seven years of experience on a medicine, oncology and palliative care unit at North York General Hospital.

Damara is committed to life-long learning and values patient- and family-centred care. She has a keen interest in social advocacy, and has volunteered locally with organizations serving youth experiencing homelessness and geriatric populations, and has participated in community development projects in rural villages in India. Damara hopes to continue her clinical practice while pursuing graduate research experience in community health.
