Homayra Ahmed is a resilient, strong-willed self-motivated BScN nursing student in her final year at McMaster University. She is the founder and president of McMaster Hope for Hearts, inspired by her personal struggle with dextrocardia, a rare congenital heart disease. She is also the level four representative for the McMaster Nursing Student Society.

Homayra has been an administrative assistant on various research studies with the faculty of nursing, has also assisted during the COVID pandemic as a frontline healthcare aide and provides input as a Patient and Family Advisor to the hospital.Homayra is currently consolidating in the Emergency Department, and hopes to become a Nurse Practitioner in critical care.
