Idevania Costa is a PhD student and Teaching Assistant at Queen’s School of Nursing. Her doctoral thesis focuses on the development and implementation of an online interactive education program based on Paulo Freire’s empowerment education model to enhance patient engagement in self-management of a chronic illness. Her overall career goal is to share knowledge and experience with nursing students and colleagues, while maintaining her clinical RN role and research focus on the management of chronic conditions.
