Kathryn is a registered nurse pursuing her Masters in Science of Nursing at the University of Ottawa. As an inpatient oncology nurse at the Ottawa Hospital, she combines her passion for oncology and palliative care. Her position as a research assistant for a large, pan-Canadian study included the development of evidence-based protocols for remote symptom management of patients receiving cancer treatments. Her thesis work will focus on exploring home care nurses’ perceptions of the usability of these evidence based protocols in their practice. Her other loves include her husband and their two rambunctious boys, Brady (2 ½) and Cooper (10 months).
