Rahim Kanji is a fourth-year nursing student at X University. Previously, he worked in the alternative healthcare industry; however, after years of work, he realized he wanted to be in a research driven healthcare field

with a patient-centred approach, which led him to nursing. Outside of healthcare, Rahim has demonstrated a commitment to volunteerism. In 2018, he cycled 600 km from Toronto to Montreal to raise funds for low-income residents living with HIV. He has also volunteered for Rainbow Railroad, an organization that helps LGBT people at risk for persecution in their home country to move to safety.
