We Need Your Help!

Each year, hundreds of nursing students apply for awards to help them complete and further their studies.  Thousands of Ontarians benefit from these highly trained, committed healthcare professionals.

We need the support of donors and sponsors to help us continue and expand the support we can provide to the nursing profession.  The following campaigns have been designed to facilitate support and encourage the public and the nursing community to rally around the cause of education for nurses and nursing students in Ontario.

Friends of RNFOO

The Foundation is in need of ongoing support to continue to administer our extensive portfolio of awards and scholarships, and to develop new awards.  To facilitate this support, the Registered Nurses’ Foundation of Ontario (RNFOO) would like you to become a Friend of ours.

We hope that in addition to supporting the Foundation’s work, our new Friends will also be ambassadors for RNFOO.  To help with that task, we are providing our Friends with special pins (pictured above) that will display support for nurses and nursing students, and hopefully be a catalyst for conversations with others who, if they knew about our work, might also choose to support RNFOO.

Friends of RNFOO will be invited to make annual donations*, and will be listed in our Recognition Gallery.  You can join the Friends of RNFOO by making your tax-deductible donation through the Canada Helps button at the bottom of this page, or by mailing your cheque to RNFOO, 7270 Woodbine Ave, Suite 204, Markham, ON L3R 4B9.

Anyone can be a friend!

The Tribute Fund

The Tribute Fund collects money from donations that are made to RNFOO to honour, or in memory of individuals.  People contribute to this fund to celebrate birthdays, retirements, or other special occasions, or to recognize the life of someone who has made a significant contribution to nursing, or who wishes to acknowledge the impact that nurses have had on their life.

Balancing donors' desires to contribute directly to scholarships with the Foundation's need to cover administration of the Awards and Scholarships Program, the Board has determined that 60% of donations to the Tribute Fund will be awarded to nursing students.

Tax-deductible contributions to the Tribute Fund can be made through the Canada Helps button at the bottom of this page, or by mailing your cheque to RNFOO, 7270 Woodbine Ave, Suite 204, Markham, ON L3R 4B9. Donations to the Tribute Fund will be acknowledged in the Recognition Gallery, in the listing of Awards and Scholarship Brochure, and at the Annual Fundraising Gala.

The 2015/16 Friends of RNFOO Campaign has been launched.  We invite you to make your donation to become a Friend of RNFOO!

We are grateful to those who have started off the giving, and hope that you will join them soon.  Anyone can be a Friend!
