The Nurse Innovator Award winners were announced at the in-person Reception held on November 7, 2023, at Toronto Metropolitan University. Award winners this year represent health care services for young and old, direct service to clients, and development of support and training resources for nurses. The insight, creativity, and commitment to the nursing profession demonstrated by these innovative nurses is further testament to the value of the NIA program.
Sponsorship of the Reception was generously provided by The President’s Office, the Office of the Provost and Vice President Academic, the Dean of the Faculty of Community Services, and the Toronto Metropolitan University, Centennial College, George Brown College Collaborative Nursing Degree Program. The NIA Committee was pleased that broadcast journalist Mary Ito was able to host this celebration of the 2023 award winners and the accomplishments of the 5-year program. We are deeply appreciative of the Founding Donors, Friends & Supporters, and Sponsors for their contributions this program. We thank Mary Ito for four years of helping winners to share their stories.
