About Eileen Pyper

Born Sept 7, 1919 in Watrous, Saskatchewan, died July 1, 2013 in Toronto, age 93. Eileen grew up on the family farm in Saskatchewan then headed East to attend nursing school at Toronto General Hospital. She graduated in 1941 and worked in the operating room at Toronto General Hospital before joining the Army Medical Corps and serving overseas as a nursing sister during WWII. After the war she went back to school at McGill University for a certificate in Public Health. She had a rewarding career as a public health nurse in London for many years.
